Remote Gambling Security Audits (RTS)

Independent security assessments for Gambling Commission licence holders, carried out by auditors with real hands-on experience.

UK-based companies holding remote gambling licences must comply with the Gambling Commission’s Remote gambling and software technical standards (RTS). Section 4 of the RTS outlines the requirement for an independent audit of key information security controls, aligned with ISO 27001.

At Neterix, we have been conducting these audits since 2010. Our experienced and qualified Information Security team has completed hundreds of assessments over the years, working with a wide range of organisations in both the commercial and charity lottery sectors.

🔍

Thorough & Practical

Our audits are thorough, practical, and delivered with clarity, helping you stay compliant without unnecessary complexity. We offer clear, fair observations with no arbitrary checklists or tick-box mindset.

🗣️

Plain English Findings

We are always happy to explain our findings in plain English, with actionable recommendations rather than vague observations. You’ll understand exactly what we found and why it matters.

Real Experience Where It Matters

We believe that RTS audits should be carried out by professionals with real, hands-on experience in implementing information security, not just theory. It is only through managing complex networks, securing systems, and delivering security projects that an auditor gains the practical insight needed to produce a useful, relevant audit report.

The Remote Technical Standards are closely aligned with ISO 27001, and while the audit is not entirely IT-focused, your technical infrastructure forms a critical part of it. Without up-to-date knowledge of how these systems work in the real world, an auditor may struggle to understand your environment or identify what genuinely matters.

At Neterix, our auditors bring that hands-on experience and a constructive, balanced approach. We don’t come in looking to find problems, nor do we aim to overlook them. We offer clear, fair observations and we’re always happy to explain our findings in plain English.
